Some Thoughts

2025 was the year of my identity crisis, including a major panic about my gender, which resulted in me finding more comfortability with myself and getting closer to being my authentic self. 2025 was also the year of Lorde's comeback for the Virgin rollout, which coincidentally, one of the major themes of Virgin is gender, and how Ella connects to gender. A major symbol of the album is the 'duct tape binder' (please do not make a duct tape binder it is not safe) from the Man of the Year music video.

Basically, I think that one of the reasons why I love Lorde so much, and the Virgin album in particular, is that it made me feel really understood during a time where I felt like my entire sense of self was falling apart.
