Tiny Bookshop is a cute indie game i got on my switch in 2025. Its quite a short game, and really repetitive, but I find that it's the perfect thing, say when i'm in a rut with gaming or i'm sick or something.
Its a really cute cozy game where you run a bookshop in different locations. You can decorate your shop, purchase different genres of books, and complete side quests.
Tomodachi Life is an older game on the nintendo DS, using Mii's. Its such a charming and funny game with the characters having cute computer generated voices.
Its quite similar to animal crossing - its a game which you are supposed to check in once a day for a little bit. The point of the game is basically to observe the relationships and activities of the Mii's on your town.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the deluxe version of the Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii U.
I don't have much more to say about it other than it's the best mario kart to date.
Nintendogs is another game on the Nintendo DS, and i think my favourite DS game. Its also a low maintenance game like Animal Crossing.
You have a dog (or a cat) and you can play with it, pat it, train it, enter it in competitions, walk it, etc.
Splatoon 2 is a game on the Nintendo switch that came out in late 2017. Its my favourite game in the splatoon series, just because it brings back so many memories.
Its a third person shooter game with squids/octopi instead of humans, and they shoot ink to "splat" one another.
Its super intense and lots of the time it makes me want to smash my controller but trust me its fun.
Splatoon 3 is the same game as Splatoon 2, on the Nintendo switch, but its just a newer installment in the series.
I play this one more than splatoon 2 just because the player base is the biggest.

Stardew Valley is probably a top 3 game for me. It's a peaceful farming simulator with beautiful pixel art and calming music.
I love how much interaction the NPC's have, which is a rare thing nowadays especially in *cough cough* animal crossing.
Animal Crossing New Leaf is my personal favourite animal crossing game. Its on the DS system.
Its just really the classic animal crossing formula. I think you don't need an explanation from me.
Animal Crossing New Horizons is the Animal crossing game that I play the most, and the one I started out with.
Again, its the classic animal crossing formula, and the graphics on the switch 2 are great, and the multiple capabilities are super fun.
Donkey Kong Bananza came out in 2025, and its my favourite game ever.
The graphics are seriously impressive, and the interactions that the characters have with the world are so satisfying.
The way donkey kong destroys the land is so satisfying to watch.
